The battery is very low and needs to be charged immediately. The LED ring flashes three times every 60 minutes (only if the bottle is standing up).
BLUE RING flashes
The communication link with the phone was successful, and data flow between the phone and the bottle is now enabled.

The bottle has been disconnected from the phone.
WHITE RING flashes
The bottle is reminding the user to drink water. The LED ring will flash white when your water consumption falls behind the hydration plan you set on the REBO app. In order to avoid this setting disturbing you during the night, it is possible to set the hours within which you are willing to receive notifications in the app.
We added a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) to our smart cap. This technology allows you to drink from your REBO Bottle anytime, anywhere. Connected or not!
Unfortunately not. Each REBO bottle is synced with one account. If the bottle is used by more than one person, the intake is attributed to the person synced with the bottle.
Yes, but we recommend drinking water. Since hot liquids are often caffeinated, they aren’t best for hydration.
Yes. We recommend washing it well after drinking coffee or tea to avoid influencing the flavor.
No! Due to its embedded technology, the smart cap is NOT dishwasher safe. It is water-resistant and can be washed with a damp cloth under running water.
No worries! You can manually input your hydration data to update your hydration plan and goals.
REBO’s Printed Circut Board (PCB) has the capacity to store 3-days of usage and intake data while you’re disconnected. All you have to do is sync your device and your usage information will appear.
Currently, we do not have an option to sync more than one bottle per account.
No. Hot liquids do not generate PACC. The bottle has a sensor to detect the temperature of your liquid.
Yes, the stainless steel bottle is dishwasher safe-- but only the bottle! Not the smart cap!
The REBO App will be widely accessible on iOS and Android. Links coming soon!
Yes. If you link it the app to Apple Health or Google Health it will change dynamically if you reflect any change there. Otherwise, you can do this easily in the app settings.
Yes. It will be connected to the time displayed on your phone.

Yes. You can even set up different alerts for the bottle itself and your phone. You can do this easily in the app settings.
Unfortunately, there is not a one-size-fits-all answer. Everyone is different. That is why it’s important to use a daily hydration tracker that creates a customized hydration plan according to your personal characteristics.
Our bodies have a way of telling us when something is wrong. Signs can be infrequent, dark urination, dry mouth, constipation, headaches, frequent sickness, dull or dry skin, thirst, and increased fatigue.
The U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH) says drinking water increases the number of calories you burn. Since water is naturally calorie-free, replacing it with other beverages-- drinks typically loaded with sugars-- means you consume fewer calories. As water is satisfying to the body when we’re properly hydrated we’re less likely to over-eat, thus consuming fewer calories altogether.
Studies show 70-80% of the body’s water intake should come from the fluids we drink, leaving 20-30% to be absorbed in the foods we eat.
Green credits are offsets to environmental outputs. They are increasingly popular among corporations and organizations wanting to improve their environmental impact.
Renewable energy is a great example. When it’s not feasible for a company to invest in its own solar, or wind, projects, it buys green credits to offset carbon-emitting energy usage with a renewable source. Many companies-- including us at REBO-- buy green credits of this nature to be Carbon Neutral. In other words, to offset the amount of Carbon that our existence generates.
It’s the same for plastic. Giving the growing threat of ocean plastic pollution, REBO offers a solution for minimizing plastic-footprints. Our green credits are called Plastic Avoidance and Collection Credits (PACC).
Technology embedded in REBO Bottles allows plastic savings to be 3rd party certified by the Gold Standard, ensuring the impact and credit-worthiness of environmental projects. Issuing green credits enable us to continuously fund ocean-clean up efforts.
The Gold Standard certification process reconciles data collected by our hydration trackers with the number of Plastic Avoidance and Collection Credits (PACC) REBO can issue and sell on the free market. Our ability to continuously generate a trustworthy source of credits allows our sustainable business model to support itself, and .
According to the World Economic Forum, there are ~150 million metric tons of plastic in our oceans today. Each year 8 MILLION metric tons of plastic pollution enters our oceans. That’s equivalent to one city dump truck per minute. By 2025, the ratio of plastic to fish will be 1:3, and by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
No. We recognize plastic as an important part of the global economy. The real problem is our current usage and lack of recycling. Most plastics are used once (single-use plastics) and thrown away. Consider that it takes 450 years for a plastic water bottle to degrade. We have made progress in recycling plastics, but today only ~9% of plastic gets recycled worldwide. (1)

Plastic islands refer to masses of aggregated plastic pollution in the oceans. As the ocean has become a dumping ground for plastic pollution, we have five plastic islands each with a surface larger than France. Our planet's plastic islands disrupt biodiversity and marine life, and its impact is felt around the globe.
After Plastic Bank collectors recover plastics, the plastic is cleaned, recycled, and processed into new raw materials. In its new state, the plastic is sold to manufacturers to produce new products.

Cradle-to-Cradle is a design philosophy that considers a product’s ‘end of life’ in the design phase. By designing and manufacturing products with raw materials that can stay in the supply chain for multiple cycles, if not forever, we prevent goods from ending up in landfills and create a more sustainable and circular economy.
Yes! The REBO bottle is recyclable.
REBO’s smart caps come with a rechargeable lithium battery and have an integrated USB C port to make charging easy. We chose REACH and RoHS certified lithium batteries because they are the longest-lasting battery-- and the most sustainable option we could find.
We use time-of-flight technology. An infrared laser-- invisible to the human eye-- sends a light signal that hits the liquid and then returns to the sensor. The time it takes to bounce back is measured, recording changes in water levels.
Truth be told, as a young start-up we could not afford to be Cradle-to-Cradle certified. But, we followed the principles to design our product to be environmentally responsible.
We are developing take-back programs in different markets. Please check our website for the most current information: http://www.rebo-bottle.com/end-of-life
The battery will hold its charge for up to 2-months and 500 uses-- long enough for you to forget that it’s a battery! And it will not-- and can not-- be replaced. This is intentional to reduce waste and defeat obsolescence.
BLE is used in fitness apps and medical devices and is perfectly safe. Transmission of BLE does not in any way affect the liquid you consume through the tracker.
